The Myth of Empires Development Plan and Upcoming Gameplay Additions

Hello, everyone!

Myth of Empires has received widespread attention and support from players since its V1.0 release. The development team is actively implementing solutions to the server and queuing issues players are experiencing by opening new servers and improving latency issues. In terms of gameplay, fixes for the sound effect and item pickup issues that players have reported have been implemented on our end and will be published in upcoming updates. Of course, players may continue to experience other issues as they play the game—the development team will continue to make adjustments and optimizations as these issues arise.

Additionally, many players have asked us what features we are planning to add in the future. All of our development plans are made with one goal in mind: to provide players with a richer and deeper gaming experience. Here are some of the new features that will be debuting in Myth of Empires soon:

1. Multiple civilization trees: We are developing tech trees for multiple civilizations, which will include armor, weapons, buildings, crafting stations, and more. The current plans are to introduce Greece, Persia, Rome, and Egypt, with Greece and Persia planned to make their debut in 2024.

2. New Beast Lords: We plan to regularly add more legendary creatures along with saddles to ride them and unique corresponding gameplay, enriching exploration and combat.

3. Improved Breeding: The animal breeding system will be continually improved with new features.

4. More Water- and Air-based Ships: We plan to add more water-and air-based vehicles upon which players may construct buildings, allowing them to build water bases and air fortresses.

5. NPC Auto-work and Emotion Systems: Players will be able to arrange work for NPCs that is prioritized based on their attributes, allowing NPCs to actively search out work that is more well-suited to them. At the same time, NPCs will have much more expressive emotions.

6. Thousand Man Season Server: We plan to open a single season server that can accommodate 600 - 1000 players, who will engage in week-long faction-based PVP events featuring all new strategies and tactics.

7. 400-600 Player Jousting Battles: The Jousting Battlefield will be expanded to give more players the chance to experience the game’s brutal combat against the backdrop of a massive battlefield.

8. Warrior Arenas: Players will be able to upload their warriors’ data to the cloud, where they will be ranked. Players whose warriors are ranked highly will receive rewards.

9. Sunken Ships and Underwater Exploration: We will be adding underwater points of interest and sunken treasures to the Dongzhou map for players to find. Players will need to brave the depths, avoiding ferocious creatures and plundering treasure, all while holding their breath.

10. Dynamic Battlefield Rules: Battlefield modifiers will be introduced, for example increased bow damage, cumbersome heavy armor, and more. Players will need to take note of these modifiers before engaging in these battles to ensure that they are adequated prepared to fight.

11. More Hairstyles and Facial Features: More character hairstyle and facial feature options will be introduced in the near future, giving players greater power of customization over their characters than ever before.

12. English Voiceovers: NPCs from new civilizations will have English voiceovers.

13. Functional Foundations and Ceilings: We will be introducing new foundations and ceilings that not only provide support for additional structures, but also have their own functionality, for instance, the ability to grow crops and raise fish.

14. An Upgraded Farming System: The attributes of farming fields that are cultivated regularly will increase, but will fall if neglected for a long time.

15. Improved Boss AI: We will continue to optimize and improve the AI of bosses to make fighting with them more challenging and exciting.

16. Improved PVE Objectives: Some solo players have given us feedback indicating that the game’s PVE objectives are unclear. In the future, we will be clarifying these PVE objectives to improve the overall experience of playing solo.

In addition to the above, development of the game’s console versions has begun. Feel free to give us your feedback below on whether you’d like to see us implement cross-platform functionality.

We look forward to sharing more about these additions with you at a later date. It is thanks to your support of Myth of Empires V1.0 that we’ve gotten this far. See you on the battlefield!
