Ancient musical instruments will be added in Myth of Empires!

March was certainly a month full of news and features: we released the International Vanguard Edition, Skirmish mode, and the announcement of new farmland, tools, furniture, chariots, and a brand Season Server mode by mid-April.

Today we’re announcing the debut of ancient musical instruments in the game. The first one to be added, in the near future, will be the Bianzhong, as you can see in the image below.

Listen to its sound here

As a large-scale classical musical instrument that arose in the Zhou Dynasty, flourished in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period until the Qin and Han Dynasties, the chime is not unfamiliar to many people, but only a few people have experienced playing music with it. The dark wood bronze Bianzhong will be added soon. Among the 20 chimes, each chime has two different tones, so you can play to celebrate your victories in battle or just for fun.

The following additions will be the Pipa and the Suona, which are traditional instruments. Both instruments will perfectly reproduce the real instruments, for example, the Pipa will play exactly as the standard notes of each string. Will also add different playing techniques that can be changed. The model of the instruments is already finished, but the model and testing are still going on, which should be finished in the near future.

We will be adding new instruments on a monthly basis, besides our usual fixes, updates, and new content. Stay tuned!
