New Myth of Empires – Skirmish Mode Map: Western Wilds

One week ago, the Eastern-themed survival/sandbox title Myth of Empires officially released its Season Servers update. Thanks to the rapid progression rates on these servers, the battles have quickly become more frequent and more intense. Compared to the normal official servers, which feature both PVE and PVP, and don’t use modified settings, the Season Servers’ focus on combat has attracted many competitive players looking for a good fight.

Of course, this does not mean that casual PVE players who occasionally want to experience the fun of combat have nowhere to go. Myth of Empires’ Skirmish Mode not only allows players to easily experience frenetic combat, but it can also bring some benefits to the game’s battlefields, which has drawn the attention of players. Now, the team behind Myth of Empires has revealed a new Skirmish Mode map that is under development. Let’s take a look!

The new Skirmish Mode map is set against the backdrop of the Gobi Desert. The map is littered with withered vegetation as well as sand and rocks baking under the scorching hot sun and is encircled by hills and stones that have been shaped over the centuries by the famously treacherous wind and sand of the Gobi region.

This new Skirmish Mode map adopts an asymmetric map design. The camps on either side of the map where players will respawn both have access to a shortcut. Although this shortcut provides a quick route to the other team’s camp, there are few obstacles, which makes close-range fighting there especially intense. There is also an elevated, more indirect path. This path provides some tactical detours, but more importantly, provides a high ground that will need to be captured if a team hopes to maintain better control of the map as a whole.

Myth of Empires is a survival/sandbox game set on the ancient Eastern Continent, in which players must survive, build structures, craft items, work together, and strategize in order to conquer the land and unite it beneath their banner, finally building their own empire!
